Congratulations to the winners, and thank you to all 200+ forecasters who participated! Winners will be contacted by email to receive a 1-year subscription to *[Asterisk](https://asteriskmag.com/)*, a new quarterly journal of writing and clear thinking about things that matter.

We are also excited to announce the start of our new [Beginner’s Tournament](https://www.metaculus.com/tournament/beginner-tournament/)! This tournament opens on Friday, January 6th and closes on April 1st. We will publish two new, short-fuse questions each week for you to gain skill and expertise forecasting and have some fun!

Perceptive participants will notice that we’re not currently policing who is defined as a beginner; we reserve the right to modify leaderboards accordingly.
