This was an experimental contest using [Metaculus Cup Spring questions](https://www.metaculus.com/tournament/metaculus-cup-spring-2026/). Each participant in the contest had a corresponding Metaculus bot that forecasted on the Spring Cup questions informed by the participant-created links. Bots were compared to a baseline bot that used no Question Links.

The purpose of this experiment was to see if using Question Links would improve forecast accuracy. However, the results seem too noisy to extract meaningful information. Not many questions were eligible for the contest and most participants created only a few links.

No other such contest is planned at the moment, but [the Metaculus Cup vs Dylan Matthews](https://www.metaculus.com/tournament/metaculus-cup-summer-2026/) is ongoing!
