Add your own Alt-Protein questions

Metaculus users are always welcome to write and submit their own questions for forecasting, and we value the contributions of our diverse community of forecasters. In fact, many of the best questions on the platform are developed by our users. Here are some guidelines for getting your own Alt-Protein questions up and running: 1. Write clear and precise resolution conditions. Resolution conditions are the backbone of any forecasting question—they spell out how and when a question will resolve. Spelling them out well is therefore of high importance. Try to limit the scope for ex-post quarrels about what really happened, and who was right. 2. Write in a neutral and objective tone. Questions in a neutral point of view represent topics fairly, proportionately, and, as far as possible, without editorial bias (think Wikipedia-style). 3. Explain why your question is interesting or important. The significance or context of a question is not always common knowledge, so it is sometimes important to explain it. If you'd rather post suggestions for Alt-Protein questions instead of fully worked-out questions, *please add your comment in the comment section below!* Submitted questions are reviewed by Alt-Protein Community Shapers (volunteers who help steer the Alt-Protein Forecasting Cause), and other Community Moderators. Writing incisive questions can be challenging, and requires a keen eye for detail, careful precision, creativity, and a host of other skills.
