According to estimates by Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) (2017), an estimated 70.95 billion poultry were slaughtered in 2017. The term poultry is taken to mean domesticated avian species that can be raised for eggs, meat and/or feathers (FAO, 2019).

How many billions of poultry will be slaughtered worldwide, in the calendar year 2030, according to FAO estimates?
