The 2020 Iowa Democratic caucuses will take place on February 3, 2020. They are the first electoral contest in the Democratic Party presidential primaries for the 2020 presidential election.

Delegates in a primary or caucus are allocated in proportion to the votes received. However, candidates that receive less than 15 percent of the vote are allocated no delegates, irrespective of the number of delegates at stake in the election. See this article for details and discussion.
