* The new max award for a single participating commenter is \$1,500

Ten prizes will be distributed as follows: 

* 1st place: \$700
* 2nd place: \$600
* 3rd place: \$500
* 4th place: \$400
* 5th place: \$300
* 6th through 10th place: \$200 each

### Commenting Prize Deadline Extended to End of December! (November 21st Update)

The commenting prize deadline has now been extended. Now comments submitted on the [set of eligible questions](https://www.metaculus.com/questions/?tags=forecast-with-givewell-comment-prize\&for_main_feed=false) before January 1, 2025, will be considered for prizes. Previously the deadline required that comments be submitted before December 1, 2024.
